Happy Fête Nationale! What to do today?

It’s St Jean Baptiste Day, one of the biggest holidays in Quebec. With so many celebrations around the island, it’s no wonder everyone enjoys the day!
The main Montreal event is the annual parade which starts at the corner of St-Denis and Boucher Sts. at 1 p.m. today as it makes its way south until it reaches de Rigaud St.

There are also two other events taking place around the island and in Laval which are sure to draw big crowds.

Ariane Moffatt and Louis-Jean Cormier will be performing at Laval’s Centre de la nature on June 24.

Les Cowboys Fringants will be featured in Lachine on June 24 at Parc St-Louis.

Besides musical entertainment, some municipalities, including Pointe-Claire, Dollard-des-Ormeaux and Laval, will be putting on firework displays. For more information about all the local events taking place around the island, visit the Fete Nationals Website.
